Quicche
Sometimes you come across music that shows more than it explains. Music that reveals a whole inner life between synthesizers, chopped-up vocal samples and a humming piano pedal. Quicche is such a case. What comes over our speakers at the Immergut Festival is no simple wallpaper of sound, but a deeply emotional mesh of electronics, nostalgia and deliberate imperfection.
Marc Grünhäuser, the brains behind Quicche, recorded his debut album Frisia in a place where others expect only windmills and vastness: in East Frisia, secluded, reduced to the essentials. And that's exactly what you can hear. Every note, every creak, every reverb is imbued with the silence and the space in which it was created.
Quicche reminds us that music doesn't have to be perfect to reach us - it can rattle, stumble and rustle. Perhaps that is also the reason why we have brought Quicche onto our stage.
