Power Plush
I have my own theory as to how the name Power Plush came about. In my world it's the combination of the Power Puff Girls & cuddly toys (=Plushies), I don't know if this theory scratches the surface of the truth, but in my head it fits. Anja, Maria, Svenja and Nino combine the best of these two worlds, the sweet and cute world of cuddly toys and at the same time the heroines of my childhood series Power Puff Girls. Power Plush are feel-good, cute, soft and invite you to cuddle up. There is also the right amount of anger, in-your-face mentality, a little bit of confusion and strength of the animated characters of the 2000s.
The power in Power Plush shouldn't be underestimated though, snotty and also cheeky, the band sings about emotional rollercoasters that occupy a person in their 20s (not just one person's 20s of course). Emotional rollercoasters, developing little crushes and falling in love; social alienation, queerness or simply the longing for summer find a place in the songs of the band from Chemnitz. The Plushies are back with their second album Love Language, which will be released in September. It will be in three voices, more rugged and infused with the familiar Power-Plush-sweetness.
The Plushies will conquer hearts in Neustrelitz just as they did last time. Get ready for a mousy set with 1A danceability, feel-good factor paired with mosh pits and loud guitars, we are very much looking forward to it!
