Isolation Berlin
Many people talk about generations at Immergut. The first is the generation of the 00s, who pulled the festival out of the eaves and helped it develop into one of the names in the festival landscape. The second is the generation of the 10s, who further established the festival and showed that a festival can develop further, hold its own in the ever-growing competition of the ‘festival hype’ and continue to show attitude. And the third is the generation of the 20s, of dealing with and enduring harsh uncertainties and changes surrounding a pandemic, a war on the doorstep and a strengthening of marginalisation, but nevertheless a great spirit of innovation and many ideas.
Isolation Berlin is generally a hybrid of all Immergut generations and wanted - no, will - pick everyone up. It is the sound of the 10s, the lyrical composition of the 00s with the themes of the 20s (see the most recent work ‘Electronic Baby’). Always with an eye on the nuances of life, especially - probably due to the name - in the capital city, but also adaptable to the rural and small-town. A band that fits in wonderfully with the 25th Immergut Festival and will now be celebrating their third with us after 2016 and 2019 - energetic, eclectic and memorable.
