Zwischen Zwei und Vier

ZWISCHEN ZWEI UND VIER has also been landing in my mailbox every fortnight for some time now. Besides newsletters, I love lists, so here are three very specific personal highlights that give a little insight into the smart nonsense from Melanie Gollin and Rosalie Ernst:

1. It's pretty easy to discover new music (example away from playlists): including Saya Gray at the end of February. Rosalie's associations with Saya Gray's album are celebrated in a diagram between aliens, the sea and snails - reading it was followed by extreme curiosity and in conclusion I can only say that I now also think the artist is great.
2. There are refreshing interviews to read: Anyone who was at the Immergut Festival in Neustrelitz last year may have heard of the band Soft Loft (oh yes, back then in the tent stage, remember?). The singer Jorina was part of the first live show of ZWISCHEN ZWEI UND VIER - an either/or round has landed in the newsletter - it's about chicken (or hats?), it's well worth reading.
3. There's a bit of music industry in fresh à la facts, knowledge and exchange: For example, Melanie's contribution on the Orange Peel Agency's Flinta* clause in contracts and the question of which artists are actually booked onto the country's festival stages.

After just three points, it's clear that it's all pretty cool and exciting. They are also bringing the newsletter to the stage for Immergut Festival 2025: a wild mix of chaos & music quizzes, poems, analyses and anything else they can think of.
