CharlotteSofie Royer has many lives in one: born in California, raised with a classical violin in Vienna, stations at Stones Throw Records and Boiler Room in Los Angeles, New York and London - and yet her path always leads back to music.
On her albums ‘Cult Survivor’ and ‘Harlequin’, she combines baroque elegance with pop theatrics, nostalgia with modernity, melancholy with a twinkle in her eye. Her songs sound like a fragile dream between living room stage, hall of mirrors and smoky clubs.
Sofie Royer sings about closeness and distance, about the staging of the self and what lies beneath - and brings all of this to the Immergut Festival 2025 with her new album ‘Young-Girl Forever’.
