Beaks
Do you fancy daydreaming with atmospheric sounds ranging from indie pop to electronic? Then off to the musician Beaks.
It's not easy to describe Anna Francesca's music, it's minimalist, effortless, in the moment and not in the moment, experimental, powerful and definitely danceable. She has managed to carve out a niche for herself, combining electronic and experimental sounds with sensitive, personal musicality. Her lyrics are introspective snapshots of life - almost dream sequences - that capture the essence of human existence.
The sound of Beaks is minimalist, but never empty. The melodies seem effortless, almost hypnotic, leaving space for the words, which take on all the more meaning in their intensity. This connection between dream and reality becomes particularly clear in their song ‘Dirty Girls’ - the question ‘How do dreams work? Will I wake up if I die?’ lets you dive deep into the artist's thoughts and poses the big questions of life in a very unique, intimate way. During Beaks' performance we will lose ourselves and after a while find ourselves back in the here and now, it will become a little blurred until we realise again that we are at the 25th Immergut Festival. Beaks will take us on a journey that may not always leave us with clear answers, but with many new perspectives.
